Y S Jagan takes oath as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh

Y S Jaganmohan Reddy Thursday became the second Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh since its bifurcation after he was administered the oath of office by Governor E S L Narasimhan at a ceremony in Vijayawada’s IGMC Stadium. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao and DMK president M K Stalin were among the dignitaries who attended the swearing-in ceremony. Advertising Narendra Modi was also invited by Jagan when the two met last Sunday, but the Prime Minister couldn’t make it as the date coincided with his own swearing-in ceremony. And Jagan’s predecessor Chandrababu Naidu, who was invited over phone by the YSRCP chief, decided to stay away from the event.
