Hackathon Carnival at the India Gadget Expo

A platform for Hackers to pitch their prototypes and solutions

India Gadget Expo today announced the first of its kind “Hackathon Carnival” to be organised at INDIA GADGET EXPO (IGE) to be held in Hyderabad from 18th to 21st September 2015 at HITEX Convention Centre. The two day 30 hours carnival will provide a platform for hackers to pitch their prototypes and solutions to the industry leaders, investors, IT professionals and public at large.
The idea of this “Hackathon Carnival” is to bring the best of hacking community across India under one event to encourage smart and innovative tech solutions. The hackathon will have participation from celebrated hackers, professionals and college graduates. Industry mentors from some of the most celebrated startups and innovators will be sharing their experiences and mentoring the participants all through the event. The hackathon is themed towards smart cities and will cover multiple aspects like health, environment, traffic and transportation, security, public grievances etc.

The winners will be awarded and will be given a platform to pitch their prototypes and solutions to investors, incubation/mentoring at T-Hub. Inspiring Indian Innovation award 2015 announced

Hyderabad, 21st August 2015: Promoting innovation, entrepreneurship and technology, India Gadget Expo today announced the “Inspiring Indian Innovation Award”. The award ceremony will take place at the INDIA GADGET EXPO (IGE) to be held in Hyderabad from 18th to 21st September 2015 at HITEX Convention Centre. The “Inspiring Indian Innovation Award” was introduced by Mr. Jayesh Ranjan, I.A.S, Secretary, Information Technology (IT); Government of Telangana. The event which is slated to be India’s premier Tech show is supported by the Government of Telangana.

The award is conceptualised to honour the Indian Innovations and recognise their commitment and dedication to promote India an Innovation hub. The sole objective behind the initiative is to motivate the next big ideas, driven by the power of technology.

There is a need  for creating “the Culture of Innovation” in India where we adopt internal processes that encourage and reward innovators to continually push the boundaries in finding new solutions.   We need to create incubation centres for developing Systemic Innovation Engagement Models.  An important part of the culture of innovation is to ensure that we recognize the breakthrough work and the Inspiring Innovation Awards is a step in the same direction.

SriLankan Airlines adds three new frequencies to their fastest Growing Market, Chennai

Chennai August 18th, 2015: SriLankan Airlines the national carrier of Sri Lanka in a time span of four months has increased three new frequencies on the Chennai – Colombo route. Chennai is one of the fastest growing markets for this national carrier and enhancement of its flights is a method of capitalising the increase in passenger traffic from this region. The additional frequencies will operate from the 16^th of August on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, at 11:05 hrs. The addition of this flight brings the total frequency of flights between Sri Lanka and India to 89 flights per week. This announcement reinforces the significance of the Indian market for SriLankan Airlines, especially Chennai.

Each flight will feature an array of bespoke services, world-class in-flight entertainment including a combination of Tamil language programs and signature SriLankan Airlines hospitality services. The purpose of re-launching these flights is to increase the frequency of the airline, providing passengers with added convenience.

Regional Manager for India, Lalith De Silva said, “Last year we had over 225,000 arrivals on SriLankan Airlines from Chennai to Colombo. It is certain that Chennai is our fastest growing market in Southern India. We see the market as a growing and crucial business hub for Multinationals. The addition in flights is a result of growing passenger traffic from this region.”

He further added, “The increased frequency also reinforces our commitment to Chennai and will strengthen the deep commercial and bilateral ties between India & Sri Lanka. With this infusion of additional frequencies, we will appeal to both business and leisure customers aiming to provide convenience and better connectivity."

Gangavaram Port distributes School bags to students

Visakhapatnam, 17^th August, 2015:  Gangavaram Port Limited today distributed 710 school bags to students of different schools including Zilla Parishad High School-Gangavaram, Gangavaram Elementary School & Yetapalem Elementary School.

The distribution of school bags were done by Sri Palla Srinivasa Rao, M.Tech, MBA, Hon’ble MLA, Gajuwaka Assembly Constituency  in the presence Mr. Janardhana Rao, Additional Director ( Operations),  Mr. K. Lanco Hills Owners Welfare Association distributes ​​“Lanco Hills Sports Awards”

17^th August 2015, Hyderabad – Lanco Hills Owners Welfare Association ( LHOWA) distributed the Lanco Hills Sports Awards to the residents at a function organized at their premises .  The award ceremony marked the culmination of month long “LHOWA Sports Meet” which saw active participation from residents at Lanco Hills.  Atul Pradeep of 321 GO game show in Zee telugu who is also a resident and Lagadpati Sreedhar, Vice Chairman Lanco Group distributed the prizes to the winners.

The Meet covered a series of sports ranging from athletics, racket sports to ball games for all age groups and more than 120 trophies were handed to winners under different categories.
