Hyderabad-18th November :Award-winning, fine-dining Hyderabadi restaurant Jewel of Nizam, in continuing with the royal legacy of Nizami cuisine and its rich heritage, is proud to delight our patrons with the 10-day food festival “The Conqueror’s Feast”.The Conqueror’s Feast, inspired by the North West Frontier cuisine is the perfect amalgamation of typical Mughlai flavours with a blend of rich spices. Rich and aromatic, Afghan cuisine uses fresh and dry fruits along with a blend of Persian and Mughlai influences, the legacy of Pathans who elevated food preparation and cooking into what many consider an art.
North West Frontier cuisine is also influenced by Punjabi food, where rice and spices are used to great effect. Coupled with distinct Persian influences and Afghan cuisine, the food of the North West Frontier has been shaped by over the centuries, culture and tradition. It employs the use of special, unique ingredients carefully chosen and cooked to perfection.
For this grand occasion, The Golkonda Hotel has invited Chef Mujeeb ur Rehman and a congregation of celebrity chefs from across the country to stir up the delectable delicacies of a golden past. Lunch service will feature an a la carte menu, while dinner will be lavish buffet with specialty dishes.
Chef Mujeeb is a visionary who has conducted extensive research on royal cuisines. He underwent years of rigorous education to extract recipes from the siblings of the royal khansamas of the Nawabs, including many lesser-known royal delicacies that were prevented from slipping into oblivion.
