Vote for nation, vote for Modi as 2019 elections are crucial, says Nirmala Sitharaman

The campaign is invigorating. This profound statement was made by Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman today (Sunday, March 24) while referring to Telangana for Modi online campaign.

Speaking as a chief guest at Professionals Meet organized by the Telangana for Modi (TFM), a citizens’ initiative of G Yoganand, the defence minister said, “the campaign is invigorating for those of us who are on ground campaigning.” Because, she said these Lok Sabha elections are going to make difference to India.

Nirmala Sitharaman said “the elections of 2014 changed the course of discourse in India, democracy in India and the difference a thinking voter made. It was a landmark election, a landmark outcome that brought a government that has shown what it can achieve in five years.”

But the win of 2014 is not complete. The system has changed, the mindset has changed, and you cannot leave India at this stage, she said and told the audience of professionals that the elections of 2019 are more critical than 2014.

Pointing towards the selfie corner set up by team of TFM that had Modi’s full-length picture with a message ‘My vote for nation, My vote for Modi, Let us do this’ the defence minister said 2019 election is for the nation.

She was cheered throughout her speech as the minister listed out reason for Narendra Modi’s return as the prime minister. Nirmala Sitharaman said Modi has made the world listen to India, earned respect for Indians on global stage where ‘we walk with head held high’.

If we do not bring back Modi there is a danger of India going 50 years back in every sense, she said. Prime Minister Modi is responding to India’s needs and cleaning the system, she said and asked the voters to give him a chance again.

The meeting was addressed by Telangana BJP unit chief K Laxman and TFM’s Yoganand who spoke on Modi government’s countless schemes for every walks of life.
Laxman was very emphatic on tax reforms and how Modi government has taken aggressive stand against nagging terrorism from across the border.

Yoganand in his remarks made a detailed appeal to the educated voters to go out and vote. He said the menace of vote buying has made sellers of votes a majority and those who want to bring change but do not vote have become a minority.
