COVID SURGE IMPACT ALLIANCE (CSIA), Hyderabad formed to streamline all covid related resources and services

Hyderabad May1 2021:  In this hour of health crisis, right information and support have become very critical for Hyderabadi’s to fight the covid challenge. With an aim to solve this important problem on a priority basis, a group of individuals and organisations have come together to form the Covid Surge Impact Alliance (CSIA).

Speaking about this, Raj Janagam said, “The alliance’s objective is to ensure that the patients or their relatives are served in a quick, efficient and a personalised manner instead of them having to navigate through a vast number of unverified, standalone sources.”

The Covid Surge Impact Alliance offers three key services:

 • An organised, easy to use web-app with real-time and verified data- www.covidhelphyd.in

 • A 24x7 Covid Helpline - 040-67419503

 • A One-One Personalised Patient Request Management System

The web app gives users data of real-time hospital bed availability, plasma sources, suppliers of critical medicines, non-hospital isolation and care centres, food providers and a host of other ancillary services. Everyday, more sources and suppliers are continuously being added, updated and verified. The real-time data of hospital bed availability is based on the official information bulletins of the Telangana State Government.

“Our biggest challenge is availability of quality real-time information. The Alliance is actively tying up with Hospitals, Health-centers and other ecosystem partners that can be part of its resource support groups specifically setup to help in rapid fulfilment of emergency requests”, said Karan S Kumar, who developed the web-app.

The 24x7 Helpline provides an alternate way of directly calling in to register a request. Once the request is registered it is allocated and managed by a group of dedicated, and trained volunteers.

In the context of an overwhelmed medical system, this service aims to streamline the demand and supply of critical care given the extremely dynamic nature of information regarding hospital admissions and discharges. While there is no guarantee of finding the required bed to the registrants, the volunteers use a multi-tiered request fulfilment model on a best effort basis. This includes various resource support groups, real-time dashboards of sanitised data and instant autobroadcasting across the social media sphere to maximise the possibility of timely fulfilment of the request.

Presently, CSIA members include Surge Impact, Rubaroo, Cyber Jagruthi, Feed the Needy, PHC, Camp Diaries, TSIG, Kriti, Kriya Sangh Society, AIC-IIITH Foundation, Yuvatha, Sri Chakra Totalgas, T-Hope, HRH Next, Salesforce, The Deverakonda Foundation, Worldview Education, The Collective Artists Network, and many other voluntary and Corporate Partners.
